Product description

A cat watches a festive procession meander through the rice paddies with Mount Fuji in the background of the Japanese landscape. This vase reproduces a portion of Hiroshige's painting series One Hundred Famous View of Edo. These woodcuts were highly praised by the Impressionist including Van Gogh and Monet. Alongside Hokusai, Hiroshige is viewed as the principle exponent of ukiyo-e from the first half of the 19th century. He concentrated on drawing famous landscapes.
