Caiman Lizard
With its body covered with heavy dorsal scales that resemble those of crocodiles and hence the name Caiman, this lizard thrives in swampy habitats, basking in the sun glory and swiftly diving into the water at the first sign of danger.
About the Artist
Based out of Delhi and Arizona, founders & sisters, Dhruti and Seema design and head this women-owned embroidery atelier. These handcrafted pins are little pieces of art with up to thirty techniques and materials used on a single small pin. Their small batch workshop follows ethical fair trade practices and offers artisans above the age of 18 fair wages, healthcare benefits, a safe and happy working environment, and the ability to keep alive the intricate luneville needlework technique that has been in the artisans' families for generations.
