Due to the large number of peach orchards grown in Delaware during the 1800s, it was once coined "The Peach State". The peach blossom was then deemed its state flower in 1895 and was officially designated in 1953. This delicate, soft pink flower typically boasts its beautiful blooms starting in March for all to admire. In China, where the peach tree originated, the peach blossom has a variety of significant symbolisms, often including longevity and good luck.
