All kind, thoughtful people deserve this permission slip. You can even add a few items to personalize it. For example: “Permission to play hooky and go to the movies alone. And get a large popcorn with butter. And go to bed at 8 pm.” Just for example.

When you need to let someone know that the things we survive are what make us magnificent, consider this Japanese custom, called kintsugi. 

For exhausted parents who could use a reminder that they're doing a great job (and that it won't be like this forever!).
