Peek into a gilt-edged world of courtly entertainments and intrigues. Olga Suvorova’s lavish paintings are populated by musicians, jesters, ladies in waiting, and masked courtiers, and often in company with cheetahs, peacocks, and myriad songbirds. Suvorova’s characters and themes are depicted in a signature style influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and Gustav Klimt. Suvorova, who comes from a three-generation dynasty of artists, studied monumental composition at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. She is known for her portraiture, both at home in Russia and around the world. Twelve of her show stopping paintings are on exhibit within this calendar.
